GLOBALCHANNELPARTNERS SUMMIT 2015
MANCHESTER - PRESENTATION SYNOPSIS
Like all industries today the print business is subject to significant change at every level of activity. The following multi-dimensional factorsaffect every organisation as they plan for a future that is significantly different from the past. Here are just some of the issues that have to be addressed.
* Structural shift in economic activity – a “multi-speed” world
* Disruptive change in technologies and systems
* Shortening product life-cycles and the impact of time compression
* The growth of flexible, virtual and collaborative organisations
* Globalisation ofall aspects of business, not just marketing
* The emergence of the business model as the basis of competitiveness
Dr Daniel Park is an economist specialising in international business development. He will discuss how these issues influence strategy, organisation, culture and processes and will facilitate high-level sharply focused discussion of the implications for companies attending this event.
Drawing on his experience of working with major global companies, financial institutions and government organisations in over 60 countries worldwide, he will offer guidelines on the development of approaches to business development that cope with the overarching challenge of international value migration. He will offer ideas and work interactively with participants in addressing three major themes.
1. What value-adding activity belongs where?
2. How do we choose where and how to compete?
3. How do we execute a global strategy?
Dan Park’s presentation will include examples of best practice for group discussion and will develop ideas as to how these can be applied in the print and related industries.
