1...CTP - Computer To Plate

Your new system allows you to make high-quality offset printing plates in two versions:

process version conventional PS plates sensitive to UV light, it provides the highest obtainable quality of Inkjet CTP systems, and at the same time frees you from a single vendor plates! Of course, we encourage you to use our approved plates, but you can also try any other supplier.Suggested retail price approved by us plate 123platePRO is less than € 4.99 per m2 (excluding VAT) – this is much less than any other technology supplier of Inkjet CTPConventional plate also facilitates the implementation of the production on the printing press, your pressman does not have to change anything from the standard applied chemistry on a printing press, and ending with the habits of the machine operator – ALL remains unchanged.

 

process-less version, (dry plate) which after the imaging can be placed in an offset machine without developing (it is only fixed with heat) and make lower quantities of less demanding work in CMYK color. The advantage of this solution is the minimum amount of work needed for the execution of the matrices and the lack of wet section, dry plate price starts from 12.95 € / m2 (excluding VAT).

2...CTF - Computer To Film

Your new system is also a full-fledged replacement for imagesetters . So if you need classic films to use with other techniques, such as screen printing, UV varnish finishing, pad printing or flexo – all the matrices you need can be done with the system 123ctp. Dedicated Epson original inks, special film with stable polyester base allows to obtain great mapped details, smooth tonal gradients and fine details. All in the quality which until now was reserved only for laser systems. An additional advantage of the film, produced on the system 123ctp is total process-less production – these films do not need to be developed and are ready immediately after taking them out of your new machine! 3...Photoprint quality & Proof

Aluminum plates and matrices (“films”) that is not all you can do. At the beginning of designing process, we set ourselves the task of versatility – that’s why we didn’t destroy color printing abilities. This machine can print in the quality of color digital proof. The machine has the roller supply with the auto cutter , this set can become your new digital printing center in a wide format and photo quality!

Professional photographers might order enlargements, plus you can print on all coated media up to 1.5 mm thick, such as banners, adhesive films, backlite foils, canvas and various papers. If your client wants to order 10 posters in A1 size – no problem you can offer him a cup of coffee and do it on the spot Printout in size of A1 in full colour speed mode would take only 28seconds !!! …Let us impress you – ask your dealer for a sample color prints.

 

3in1 box

Provided system is complete. All the elements will come to you in two wooden crates. Your kilograms of new opportunities has to travel safely and at the same time can’t be a barrier for the impatient user. It was our precise design goal for new transport crates and all the elements – safe handling and comfort from the moment of unpacking …

1...Solid Transport Box

Our designers took care of your first encounter with the box, it has to be a nice and hassle-free experience.
123ctp.pl system is provided in a safe, reliable crate also secured on the circumstance of an unexpected rain during unloading. After removing outer foil, taking out corners and the crate cover – you can take a look at your own versatile prepress system. One, two, three and you’re done … Inside the shipping crate you will find all necessary elements to perform your first 123plates, film matrices, and even for color prints.

 

2...Dark Room - for conventional PS plates

Another reason for the existence of “working box” is achievement of the the functional darkroom. Our 123platePRO is low sensitive material (just like any other conventional plate). This means that you can manipulate them in daylight, but after a while photosensitive layer would collect uncontrolled amount of light and become useless. Without having the darkroom area with material of this kind, operator would have to stay in the twilight all the time …
Our designers recognized however, that most of us prefer to stay in bright, pleasant rooms … therefore, you have this new “off-line darkroom”, you do not have to work in the dark with us …

 

3...Safety of daily usage

Third function of “working box” is protection against dust (over-pressure system) and creating essential for operation on the machine, so called – “controlled environment” – with the proper operating temperature and lowering humidity function. The digital controller takes care of the operating parameters and alerts about all deviations from the assumptions. Controller also switch on and off automatically ceramic HotCube system – in case of work on film or paper.

Quality of laser CTP?

Many of you are probably wondering “what the quality I can get?” …
The best way is in our opinion to try it in your printing house – you need just order a set of CMYK plates from your local dealer – we have nothing to hide.
Print quality color obtainable on the inkjet printers some time ago reached a level of photography.
The problem which remained to be solve, was only a quality of AM screening, the most appropriate way of rasterizing for offset/litho technology, instead of used in inkjet frequency modulated raster (FM). In offset printing the best reproduction is received with a classic and regular raster dots – such as can be perfectly build by our 123RIP.
On the pictures you can see 250x digital microscope zoom of imaged plates – Please compare both shots, differences can always be found … But if they are worth of serious attention in the realities of our printing house for standard orders? You should check it personally, please try by yourself few plates made ​​in our technology in your environment. Do not let the untested opinions disseminated by the feared competitors, to be the only basis for your decision.
We are confident about the tests – after the tests, 9 out of 10 customers undertook the final decision to purchase – in our opinion it is the best recommendation.
 

Multilingual Software

In order to make it easy to start “friendly” relations with the new system 123ctp.pl – our special software is equipped with a user interface with a choice of 10 languages. But it’s not all, – you can work under a single license on several remote computers at once, you can do for example:
-plates on first location by user number 1
-2nd user may do “softproof” and send the electronic version of the proof to a final customer
-3rd can use optional imposition module to prepare ready jobs for next order

1...CTP plate

You can use 123ctp system to direct production on aluminium plates and proces-less polyester plates

 

123platePRO - way of usage

plate is imaged out of pdf, tiff, eps or ps file – special 123plateINK works perfectly without destroying emulsion and is able to block UV light.​Printed in that way plate is placed by the operator in the optional UV led BOX at the top of our machine, or it can be exposed by a conventional light box.the plate have to be washed out from the ink and processed like all conventional PS/UV plates (we are recommending vertical processor available in our dealers web)

This plate behave on the press completely in the same way like conventional plates, your pressman don’t need to change any habitats. We advise plate PRO series as those that allow you to achieve the highest possible quality quite comparable to the quality of the laser CTP. Another advantage of this type of plates is the price (suggested price 123platePRO plate is 4.99 € / m2 and possible to obtain run lengths. (We will soon post here a video of working procedures).

 

123plateDRY – way of usage

plate is imaged out of pdf, tiff, eps or ps file – pure Epson Cyan works perfectly and it works like oleophilic surface​imaged plate is baked under temperature of 130C for 2minutesthe plate can go directly into the press

This plate behave on the press in slightly different way, your pressman need to change habitats related with start/stop of the press. Plate simply likes more fountain at some stages of the printing but this is the biggest difference.

 

123platePOLY – way of usage

plate is imaged out of pdf, tiff, eps or ps file – pure Epson Vivid Magenta works perfectly and it works like oleophilic surfaceimaged plate could be baked under temperature of 130C for 2minutes but this plate can go also directly (without baking) to press with reduced copy amount accepted the plate can go directly into the press (exception above in point 2)

This plate behave on the press in slightly different way, your pressman need to change habitats related with start/stop of the press and also with mounting polyester based material. After some time we did observe that pressmen especially on 2up machines ware able to receive really good results. However this technology we do recommend only for simple colour jobs or lineworks (process colour only up to A3/B3 size)

 

2...CTF films

123FILM – way of usage

film is imaged from a PDF, TIFF, EPS or PS file – Epson genuine ink PhotoBlack work perfectly thanks to a special machine heads control together withour kind of film (in case of the need for higher density of black ink you can use a systemic specialized 123HDink available at our dealers)

film can be automatically cut off or wait for the operator command

 

The film is immediately ready for use

Films obtained in procesless 123film technology is a legitimate replacement for expensive silver film technology. However this type of film require a little more care in storage. Ink layer is less resistant to scratches than the light-sensitive emulsion layer on the silver films – for us it is the only noticeable difference, which requires only instruct of the stuff.

 

3...Photo printout & Proof

Large format printing in color it is the greatest operator comfort and speed efficiency:
1.) operator needs only to choose among the available self-adhesive film, banner, papers or canvases- appropriate type of material
2.) the rest is easy as a desktop printer … of course all advanced users can build their own ICC profiles for different materials!

Simplicity of usage

With your new system 123ctp you can start production of your own plates, films or photo-output immediately after unpacking. This is possible thanks of the design assumptions we call the “Ready Straight From The Box.”
When you order, your dealer will ask you to fill out a short order form. There you specify what plate formats you have, what is used by you distance from the edge to image of image and what lpi you prefer. Thanks to this – delivered to you system set has not only the right size plate box, but when you turn on delivered computer you will see your own settings!
Yes – we treat each customer truly individually and each system prior to shipment receives exactly the settings requested by the customer when ordered.
You do not need to have years of experience in prepress and printing, 123ctp system can be as simple to use as a desktop printer, and also has a set of tools and features so far available only in advanced systems.

Ready-Straight-From-The-Box Design

The supplied kit contains all the necessary components to begin production. All you have to do is unpack the package, connect three modules of machine and plug in power supply to the central system. Pre-configured components will connect and you can start working! The computer server comes with a tutorial how to do the first plate, also all starting consumables – including box of plates in your selected format, samples of processless film and photographic paper. The machine waits until you start to use it!

 

Drag&Drop Ready RIP

Dedicated software – 123RIP is configured in each delivered system individually, taking into account the expected settings in the order form. In time, you’ll realize how easy it is to build your own “hot folders” with their special settings, but on the first day would be even easier for you to simply drag a PDF file to the proper folder on the desktop – the rest will be “done automatically” …

 

User Friendly Support

Behind our support systems you can find real people not only dead help tab… Our technicians and dealer network has been trained to solve simple and very demanding tasks (which can occur with subsequent work) – help would be delivered to you as soon as possible. Each system has installed special “software assistant”, where using text messaging you can ask for advice or allow a remote connection to your computer channel is monitored by technicians assigned your area. This is the fastest and the most efficient way to save your time!
At each remote session end user can accumulate own experience, after a while – there is no difficult task for you.

The whole system is a unique combination of modern features in the technology of prepress. Each component is designed to fit within the restrictive budget in the same time strengthening and adding value to the whole set.
Every detail of hardware, from the housing up to the sophisticated pin registration system with precision optical sensors was being extensively tested prior to the implementation of the commercial phase. Each element of the software and its specifically built features for AM InkJet technology screening – is the result of hundreds of hours of our programmers and system designers work.

Hardware

Solid materials used for the electromechanical registration system allow for smooth operation every day. Registration system has been designed on the basis of industrial components with precision which ensures a highest repeatability of movement. The lateral registration is performed by the optical sensor. Basket that has been designed from the scratch allows for a comfortable reception imaged plates and long unattended digital production from roll materials.
Converting the bottom of the machine to supply roll materials – it’s just a few movements the operator, and the capacity of the basket allows you to securely print multiple sheets or many meters of output without operator intervention.

 

Powerful 123RIP software

Designed specifically for use in offset prepress Raster Image Processor (RIP) at the very first moment allows you to start work without long-term training. As we did assume from the beginning – 123ctp system have to be the most “user friendly”. We decided to do for you full configuration of the system, even before set reach your premises … After you will place the order, our dealer will ask you to fill a short form where you will specify plate formats and initial wishes of the print settings. In this way the first day after unpacking the system has the ability to start with presets – your presets.
Together with the familiarize themselves with working on the system 123ctp, user sequentially discovers in very intuitive way many features that do not overwhelm him at the beginning of the road.
The software has a client/server architecture with the ability to open multiple remote operation panels simultaneously (one person can make plates, other perform impositions, and the third for example contract proof).
123RIP in a special edition “CTP InkJet”, which is included in the box – it is one of the most advanced systems on the market RIP.
It is successfully used in the largest printing houses in Workflow edition to drive large prepress studios.

 

Conventional PS/UV uncoated plate

123ctp system is probably the first such a universal CTP system based on the InkJet technology. Our engineers and university team of chemists, thanks to close cooperation led to the final success project of CTP where as a consumable you can use simply, conventional PS/UV plate. With this solution, the end user doesn’t have to worry about the delivery of supplies from ONLY ONE SOURCE!
Of course we encourage the use all materials approved by 123Labs. Because of differences in applied by different manufacturers photosensitive emulsions, it is necessary to build special reproduction profile files. By using materials approved by 123Labs you are sure that you will always get the best available reproduction profiles.
However, no one can force you now to use only one kind of plates!
Work on conventional uncoated plates significantly reduces offset matrices production costs .

 

But that’s not all – because you can use our system also for procesless InkJet plates from other manufacturers, few other aluminum and polyester processless plates compatible with Epson inks are ready for you.

 

What have I do on my press to use 123ctp plates?

Our dedicated plates 123PROplate works exactly in the same way on press like other conventional PS UV plates which are available everywhere in the world to use with film or presently popular UV CTP plates. You don’t need to change NOTHING on press if you are using this type of plate.
… and most important you can also use locally available UV PS plate if you like – we are not forcing you to use our consumables except of ink… 

 

What is the price of the system and consumables?

How can we can compare Laser CTP versus 123CTP value for money factor?

Compleat set of B2+ size 123ctp system it is a 15% – 20% of the purchase cost of laser CTP.
so we can simply say that for only 20% of the price of laser CTP you can have 95% of the laser CTP quality…

Is it not a PERFECT value for money factor???

…than film matrices, proofing, and digital printing – are “for free” just additional possibilities

 

What is turnover of the system – is it cost effective solution?

We believe this is the most effective solution for plates today on Earth, but … we do not want to force you to accept our calculation – you should do it yourself. Below you can find basic information to do your own calculations.
Suggested prices of materials for the end user:

- The average work in CMYK raster in the format B2 is approximately 2 ml of ink (of course depending on the job)

What is maximum lpi for AM screen?

At present we are advising to use maximum 190 lpi – but our internal tests of 200lpi are VERY promising and our developers are working hard to improve screen algorithms to achieve that new high level. We can say from the experience of our last development that constant improvement is BUILD IN inside of our designers team.

… so simply – you can expect more from us than from any other competitors – promise !!!

 

How fast is 123ctp system?

The reasons that hard to publish exact data for the output are few:
- first of all speed is relative on purpose and expected by you quality of screens

- depends on individual settings you can receive 150lpi images with output of 4B2- plates per hour and almost double that number if you need colour newspaper quality with 100lpi. So increasing quality up to 190lpi of AM rasterizing you will have to reduce speed more than in first example above.

- also very important factor is used orientation of the plate feed (related with maximum size of the chosen unit)

- assuming we can say that average speed with mixed job structure should oscillate around 5-6 B2 Plates per hour

- in our often refreshed technical data sheets we are always placing exact examples of speed and ink usage – please ask your dealer for fresh data
